FORES Expert Forum Features BRIGHT Founder on Brain Injury Research

Press Release: For Immediate Distribution

The FORES Foreign Experts Forum concluded its fifth anniversary with an event celebrating international collaboration and thought leadership across science, technology, and humanitarian innovation. Among the invited experts was Matt Palaszynski, founder of the BRIGHT Foundation (www.brightfoundation.org), who delivered a compelling and technically focused presentation on the foundation’s mission to transform outcomes for individuals living with chronic brain injury.

During his talk, Palaszynski detailed BRIGHT’s integrated approach to advancing recovery for people affected by cerebral palsy, stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury. He outlined BRIGHT’s dual commitment to neuroplasticity-based rehabilitation and regenerative medicine, emphasizing the foundation’s hypothesis that effective recovery requires both the “repair of hardware” through cell regeneration and the “repair of software” through guided neurotraining technologies.  In addition, he highlighted Harmony Haven, BRIGHT’s vision for building an inclusive long term care community where neurodiverse and neurotypical live side by side.  Not in institutions, but in homes.  Not in isolation, but with belonging.

Palaszynski’s presentation combined detailed scientific insight with a deeply personal narrative reflecting his own journey as a parent advocate. His story of transforming personal adversity into an international non-profit movement resonated strongly with attendees.

Dr. Ross Mitchell, a renowned expert from the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, praised the presentation, calling it “the most real thing we’ve ever seen,” commending Palaszynski for bridging heartfelt storytelling with scientific rigor.

The BRIGHT Foundation, established in 2002, operates as a registered 501(c)(3) organization, and is active across, USA, Europe, and Asia.  Through initiatives like CPCure.org, which drives neuroregeneration research, and CPCare.org, which empowers families and caregivers, BRIGHT has become a recognized leader in combining community-driven advocacy with frontier neuroscience.

The FORES Academic Salon series continues to serve as a unique platform where global experts share research insights and cross-disciplinary strategies aimed at advancing human health, science, and innovation. Palaszynski’s address encapsulated the spirit of the event—uniting technical excellence with human compassion to address some of the world’s most pressing medical challenges.
