A Father’s Mission
Matt Palaszynski founded the
BRIGHT Foundation driven by a personal crusade. In 2000, tragedy struck when his daughter, Alissa, suffered a severe HIE Brain Injury at birth.
From the NICU to the world’s best hospitals, Matt’s journey transformed into a fight for answers.
The Journey to BRIGHT
Guided by college friend and neuroscientist Nathan Urban, Matt realized the urgent need for parent-driven advocacy. Much like Christopher Reeve did for spinal cord injuries, Matt sought to accelerate research for Cerebral Palsy.
BRIGHT was born, quickly establishing CPCare.org and CPCure.org. With support from experts like Michael V. Johnston, M.D. and dedicated parents like Mary Rose Rubenacker, the foundation began uniting science with passion.
A Renewed Focus
Now retired from a successful global business career, Matt dedicates his time and experience to helping Alissa and others like her.
- Community: CPCare.org provides a support network for parents and plans for safe living spaces for adults with brain injuries.
- Cure: CPCure.org is pioneering Robotic Assisted AI Exoskeleton Suits to rewire the brain and treat injuries.
Matt stays active with mountain biking & skiing.
